How to Make a Song About Your Dog or Cat
No instruments? No lyric-writing ability? No idea what a sidechain compressor is? No problem. Here's the whole process:
1. Describe your pet like you're describing them to a friend
This is the step that decides how magnificent the song turns out. Name and breed are the floor, not the ceiling. What we actually want:
- The silly thing they do every single day
- What they're afraid of (the vacuum, the ice maker, one specific rug)
- How they greet you
- Your craziest memory with/of them
"Beagle named Otis" is fine. "Beagle named Otis who has never once come when called but can hear the cheese drawer from two rooms away" is a Grammy nominee.
2. Pick a genre and a mood
Type whatever you want. Both are free text fields, so you're not picking from a list somebody else wrote. Honky tonk. House. Gospel. Emo. Latin. Bluegrass. Your cat has a genre and you already know what it is.
Mood is the other half. The same dog gets a very different song with a "triumphant" mood than with a "cozy" one.
3. Add a photo
Optional. We're working on an AI that will create one for you based on just text. For now, upload a picture and we'll attach it as cover art for the song. Photos of your pet work best. Photos of your pet mid-yawn work better than that.
4. Wait a few minutes
Lyrics, composition, vocals, mastering. All in 2-5 minutes.
5. Listen, then decide
Your first song arrives as a free preview. Play it. If it landed, one credit unlocks the full track, the download, and a share link.
That's the entire thing. The barrier isn't musical or technical skill. It's how well you describe your favorite pet :)
